Birth with support

Laura Webster experienced two fantastic birth experiences with Doulas.  (The second one pictured at the left with her TWO doulas and her second child, Logan.)
Laura is invested in working with the family before, during and after the pregnancy. She works closely with mother to educate, honor and support her journey.
Your birth story is unique.  Laura respects the choices and path of each family in a non-judgemental climate.

To the right is a picture of me delivering Logan in a waterbirth at University Hospital with the help of a midwife and my doulas.  My husband is at my head.  We were supported physically, emotionally and spiritually before, during and after the birth of our children.
I hope I can do the same for you.

What is a doula?

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

Laura's Training

As a birth doula, I accompany women in labor to help ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience.  I have completed training approved by DONA International and have the following experience: childbirth preparation, spiritual process, labor and delivery aid and comfort.  I draw on my professional training, knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, physical comfort and, as needed, communication with the staff to make sure that you have the information you need to make informed decisions as they arise in labor.  I can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning an other techniques for comfort.  I am independent and self-employed.  As your doula, I am working for you, not your caregiver or hospital.
